Liar, liar.
Would be interesting to hear what jokes some of our members have played and if they got away with it. Saw that Harwood Red had done one .. come on spill the beans.
When my son was 5 years old My daughter and I borrowed a dress from the neighbour's little girl .. pink of course. I used to set out his clothes on a certain chair and when he asked where his uniform was, explained that hadn't had time to wash it so he would have to wear this dress.
Horror descended on his face and as he ascended the stairs pink dress over his arm, he declared 'Anyway, don't like PINK' >>> worried for years after that !!

Re: April 1st
It was on the radio this morning that a certain theme park was banning women with large boobs from getting on one of the rides....I think it was something like the big dipper....they said that some women had complained of breast pain and that until they had had a chance to consult with Bra manufacturers and come up with something like 'crash helmets' for boobs, anyone over a double D cup would be banned from taking this particular ride.....now that HAS to be an April fool joke.
The best April fool s joke I ever played was on a student nurse.......I sent her to the laboratory for a long stand....I told her not to be fobbed off with a medium one as it would not do for the procedure we were about to undertake......she went off quite happily. The Lab phoned and asked how much of a long stand.....I told them half an hour would be enough....so they left her standing ror half an hour and then told her 'April Fool'. If the said student is out there reading this......SORRY!

Re: April 1st
there's an article in the Daily Mirror today saying that clothes labels on clothes over a certain size should carry a Doctor's health warning on them.... surely that must be an april fool!!!!

Re: April 1st
Best joke I ever played on April 1st was when I first moved to London.
I was working at Simpsons of Piccadilly, a rather snooty store and the basis for Are You Being Served.
They were having a Japanese promotional week, complete with Geisha girls, motorbikes and an indoor Japanese garden.
April fool's day fell on a Saturday, and I was rather bored. The Japanese garden was on the ground floor, and consisted of big bamboos, waterfalls, a pagoda, the lot.
I caught the service lift up to the display team's floor who didn't work Saturday. I helped myself to one of the display boards, an italic broad nibbed pen and a bottle of vicunna coloured ink.
Twenty minutes later a large crowd was waiting patiently infront of the Japanese garden.
'Chi-Chi the Panda will be appearing in 30 minutes.'
I never got caught.

Re: April 1st
I was talking earlier, on MSN, to a fellow AccyWebber, who now lives in America. He reminded me of the spaghetti tree thing that came on tv many years ago. That was a corker and lots of folk believed it. Me included. My only excuse was that I was only a kid at the time.
