I asked if anyone had actually found him up there & he said they had, said he will take half the blame as what was in the Observer was correct, but he should have let the staff downstairs in the library know. Also said he will be back again in Accy with his display as people missed out. So problem solved - Holmes by name Holmes by nature, thanks to my great, great Uncle Sherlock for the investigatory powers!

I contacted the Telegraph reporter after reading that article, and warned them of what had happened in Accrington Library.
Had a reply this morning, seems he has done this before, the Telegraph had arranged a photo shoot, for one of his so called exhibitions, but because the Telegraph didn't put a reminder in on the day of the event, he decided not to turn up, as he thought no one would remember. They are now going to contact Blackburn library, to see if he has made any arrangements with them.

Re: April Fools or What

It is possible that some of you lot may be visiting the capital for the Olympics later on this summer. If, by any chance, you get bored with the sport, may I suggest you visit this years blockbuster exhibition at the British Museum, which is of course, comprised of not so rare artefacts from my smoking past. Amongst the wonderful items to behold are a couple of B & H fag butts, Woodbine packets with various tart's phone numbers written on 'em, and the bottom end of a Ronson lighter.

It is anticipated there will be overwhelming demand for tickets, but for members of Accy Web there is a special offer. Tickets - instead of twenty quid each - will be available for twelve quid - so if you want guaranteed admission then send me a cheque for the requisite amount plus a fiver P & P and you will get them by return.

Not to be missed!

Noy sure if I can make it down, but would happily buy a catalogue.
