are Politicians reptiles ?

ok I know the title is a bit strong ....but ....check out the attached BBC Link BBC NEWS | UK | UK Politics | Retiring Speaker to get tributes,

seems the retiring Speaker of the House of Commons is going to get a rousing send off from the leaders of all political parties when he stands down next week after his last Prime Ministers question time . This is the same guy who has been fired from his job and is responsible for allowing sleaziods to claim thousands for 'extra' expenses .
If this guy had been in charge of the Holiday/Christmas club at the local WMC and had handled the funds the same way as this guy he would have been run out of town ,after the Police had been called in, not given a rousing send off .
So the question is to anyone politically connected national/local......how do you explain to the general electorate the blatent hypocrisy and contempt you show to the general population ?
As I have said in previous posts , it seems once again a £10 street corner prostitute has better ethics/morals and more scruples than the average politician

Any rebuttles ?

I have to say SJ, when I heard that last night I just thought exactly the same as you, just what is going on, if you or me were sacked (resigned)for doing naughties, I don't know about getting a rousing send of, we'd be escorted from the premises
