Arrest On Canal Bridge At Clayton

A man was arrested on the canal bridge at about 4-10pm

Police with sirens went flying down Whalley Rd, as we were on the bus

As we got off and started walking over the bridge... they were arresting someone

Anyone know anymore???

Re: Arrest On Canal Bridge At Clayton

I once witnessed an arrest on my front lawn.
It was quite spectacular. Two plain clothes cops whipped his feet from under him and he was face down on the grass with his arms up his back in a second.
It was so very skilfully and professionally done that I felt compelled to tell the cop so, and he thanked me for my appreciation.
The man had no injuries as a result - police training shows

I got busted on the bridge in 63 ... I was standing on the wall, adding to the volume of water in the cut with some recycled Thwaites' bitter

Suppose in the current climate, after a murder and discovery of a body, people look at police arrests and think it is something serious.

Where I lived before, sirens and police vans were an every day occurence, so don't take much heed of them now. Could have been summat and nothing.

Horne St is where I used to live. Doesn't surprise me in the least.

The house I lived next to before that, on Lion St, a cannabis farm was found too, seems to be following me around lol. Think I'd better keep a look out here.

There is a rumor that Johnny Kidd, was thrown off that bridge into the cut when he was performing a Skinners place in Clayton, how true that is I don't know
