Asda petrol?

Bosses of the town’s Asda store have re-submitted their application to build an unmanned petrol station just weeks after Tesco were given the go-ahead to build a superstore in eagle street.
The petrol station will be a “fully automated” version where drivers pay for petrol themselves using credit or debit cards, eliminating the need for on-site staff.

I wonder if tesco will put a petrol station in their new shop

Speaking of Tesco, it looks like they have put planning permission in again for the shop in ossy, where the old fire station used to be!

Re: Asda petrol?

what about the petrol station thats next to asda? Hardly fair is it?
The traffics bad enough down there without adding another petrol station.

Re: Asda petrol?

Don't think Tesco will try and get petrol because they would take business away from the Tesco Express.
Doesn't make sense.
Also think Asda might struggle because of the B.P garage.
Think they have tried before and been turned down.
Agree the competiton would be good for the prices though.

it may have changed hands since the last big fuel shortage but yes they did put a billboard thing at the enterance saying no whites , other petrol stations put taxi drivers only or emergency services only but margram sure enough went all the way and said no whites, they have always employed whites at the margram a few of my friends have worked there but they sure didnt want to sell fuel to white people according to their sign they put up

some greedy sod in ossy put his prices to almost double and he got what he deserved because its no longer a petrol station , probably because everyone avoided him after the fuel shortages were over

Re: Asda petrol?

I remember it. Happened in Preston as well (used to work there) on New Hall Lane. The garages on there had "Asians only" on signs. Il get on with pretty much anyone, and I'm a live and let live sort of person, but if that had been the other way round there'd have been outcries of racism. Most people in this country are fair minded and good natured, though fair has to mean fair and everyone has to play their part - if not, that should be pointed out, not left to lie at the risk of being offensive.
