I've never been able to understand why people like this are shielded by the law from being named, yet a bloke who's accused of rape can have his name plastered all over the press prior to any trial. In some cases where men accused of rape are found not guilty the damage has already been done, yet a woman making a false claim still gets anonymity, don't seem right to me

that was exactly my point , all sex crimes and abuse crimes shoudl have teh accused sheilded from the press until a guilty verdict is found.

between been arrested and getting to court a lot of damage can happen to te accused and his home and in some cases a not guilty verdict can be too late and trouble can still continue afterwards for any poor sod wrongly accused
