It is despicable. It was also reported today that the old feller has had to go into a care home now. This guy would have been born in 1911 and in all probability would have been a participant in WWI. The guy fought for the freedom that these dorks have today and that is how he is repaid. Forum etiquette prevents me from letting rip. Just use you imagination.
GBH, for that’s what it was, carries a term in prison. Even if the charge were reduced to ABH it would still attract a custodial sentence.
It would appear that sentences these days are dished out with regard to how full the prisons are. And it was only the other day that it was reported on the news that there were only a handful of places left in prisons and police cells.
