It is very inconsistent.

Though the only reason I got into trouble (apparently) is because he was 16!

In my mind if they are big enough and stupid enough to attack someone on their property then they get whats coming to them!

He proberly knew if you retaliated he would get off with it on the bases the clout you gave him was his punishment. The police cant lift him so do you instead.

Re: australian hung in singapore

It would not surprise me in the slightest.

What miffs me most about the current law is that you are (at least in the case of dealing with people 16and under) not allowed to defend yourself.

The irony is the bloke was bigger than me.

I think they expect us to ask them there age before we hit them back!

Be better moving to Singapore they have it as a crime to spit chuggy on the pavement. A nice clean law abiding place.

Is that with each other? They should have entered into a Civil Partnership first & made everything legal.

Yes.

Unlike Britain it is quite common in Saudi.

Don't get your knickers in a twist about some old queen running you up the aisle of the nearest registry office Tealeaf. Your old enough and ugly enough to say no, or alternatively knee them in the cloisters.

Thing is I had no choice in the matter, but becasue he comes of worse I'm the one who has to pay for it.

It seems to me that if you find intruders on your property then the law actually gives them the right to do as they please!
strange but why does that not surprise me

have you seen the size of 16year olds these days ..? my advice to anyone who catches and intruder and fancies their chances is to beat the snot out of them and leave them in the back alley

let them ring the police and deny everything when asked, it is ridiculous that someone can eneter another peresons home and become the victim

luckily though the courts are listening/siding with the victims more these days as in the case with mr butterworth a few months ago

Re: australian hung in singapore

Its taken the courts long enough to realise there is 2 sides to every case and not the one of the deprived drug taking disadvantaged teen. If found in the back ally how do they prove it was you if you are smart enough.
