Basra wall of rememberance.

Please may I ask you all to take look at this and give your support by signing the petition.
Our HQ has put it on our website and I thought i would ask you guys to support it also..

BASRA WALL OF REMEMBRANCE

Some of you may know that there is a wall of remembrance at the Airport in Basra. It has on it; in Brass Plaques the names of the fallen and we have the names of those serving 12th Regiment on there.

Lt Tom Tanswell RA
Gnr Lee Thornton
Gnr Sammy Vanua
Gnr Stephen Wright

Over the past year there has been extensive negotiations going on with the MOD to bring the 'Wall home once we the Brits pull out of Iraq and as you all know that will be within the next 9 months. Mr Tanswell has spearheaded the program and has fought relentlessly on behalf of ALL the families whose sons and daughters are on the wall to have it brought home and he has won!

But there seems to be a bit of 'foot dragging going on by the British Legion as to where it should be rebuilt; There is only one place and i am sure you will all agree that it has to go to the National Arboretum. The main wall at the Arboretum dominates the site but it is surrounded with other memorials as well, and rightly so and that is why this memorial wall must go there to.

Please can i ask you to make the difference and do your bit to help and sign the petition at:

Petition to: Bring the Plaques on the Memorial Wall in Basra back to Great Britain. | Number10.gov.uk

Thanks everyone.
