Best moment on British Television

OK , I think most folks would agree that British television when it wants to, can produce some of the best television entertainment in the world . So the question is .......what in your opinion is the best episode or program in entertainment TV that you remember (Elton John at Dianas funeral doesn't count) ?
I'll go first , and say for me it was the 2 episodes of 'Last of the Summer Wine' which featured Compo's death and funeral ......it was so funny yet at the same time so sad time .....great television. (yep, I'm a sentimental owd sod)
John Cleese in Fawlty Towers was also good , especially the 'German ' episode, as were the Prime Suspect series with Helen Mirren , and the series with the guy playing the sleazy/corrupt Prime Minister. The list endless , but maybe there is something , one program/ episode that sticks in your mind
Ok , now its your turn .....

Could never get into that program, prefered it when 'Del boy' actor played the detective , never been able to get into 'cockney' comedy, its too much like German and American humour , visual/slapstick, (slips on banana skin etc.) no subtlety, lacks irony and drollery

Thora Hirds was fantastic!

I've never been totally keen on Only Fools, but the scene where Del Boy thinks he's leaning on the bar and falls down is brilliant. Theres too many to mention though. I could go on for post after post!!

Why?

The 27th of June is a Saturday. Are you seeking a diagnosis/medical treatment on Casualty?

Victor Meldrews death in One Foot In The Grave was a classic, but the series was a prety true reflection of us grumpy old men in my grumpy opinion.
