Is the person who started the tale not successful? It was probably made up ages ago and travelled around millions of people AND it does make you get goosebumps.

Even worse are those 'reborn' baby dolls. Now they are seriously freaky.

I have even seen wooden African masks hung on lounge walls - if people realised what they were displaying they wouldn't sleep nights

This thread has reminded me of this

Re: beware of clowns -serious thread

there was a programme on about those dolls a couple of weeks ago, people actually treat them like there own babies, they buy them prams and take them out for walks, we are talking grown women here, not kids, one woman travelled to the us to buy one, she even bought it a new pram and clothes to wear for its journey home, NOW THATS FREAKY...an oldish lady gave a woman who made them a picture of her grandson from when he was a baby, and this woman made the doll look exactly the same as her grandson...a bit odd if you ask me

Re: beware of clowns -serious thread

I think the dolls themselves are amazingly crafted but what I find an issue is the fact mother who have lost their babies buy these dolls custom made to look like their dead babies and walk around cradling a cold, hard doll.

They aren't properly letting go and mourning their loss, and the manufactuers are creating psychological problems for such women.
