disagree on that, yes they did have too much power, but Thatcher killed that by legislation that did away with "Wildcat" strikes n Secondary Picketing, which was no bad thing in real terms, strike action after had to be balloted on, which again was ok,its a subject very close to my heart n one i shall take with me to the grave.

Can't argue with that but my union sold me down the river and I know a lot of miners that live in Spain.

I can remember in Building Trade strike in the early 70s, I was working for shopfitters at the time and pickets arrived at Ryddings Street, they talked to us and told us what they were striking for. It appeared that the achieve the level of pay they were after we would have had to take a pay cut
