Re: bins and recycling please read
well thay havnt even collected clinical waste nor did they make people aware that they wernt going to be collecting it so if you see some yellow binliner sized bags out on yur travels give them a wide birth as they are full of pee , poop or even both , oh and in sonme cases blood sodden pads so heres hoping they dont get slung around teh streets by cats and dogs while teh concil decides to get off its arse and work
i wonder if poop and pee acts like gritt and this is what teh council were hoping for ?

Our bin day and Recycling day should be on Friday this week should be bin day our bins have not been emptied for 4 weeks now i sent an e-mail to them thanks for the link Claytonender
so anyone that has there collection today forget it the next collections are
Thank you for your enquiry.
Your next refuse collection, weather depending will be on the 22nd of January. The next recycling collection, again weather depending will be on the 15th of January
so your going to have to wait another 2 weeks to have your bins emptied as its recycling bins next week

You are actually correct. One of the recycling vans was on the car park of Scaitcliffe House this morning making sure it's load of grit was genorously applied to the staff car park and the path leading from the car park to the front door. If one bit of that grit gets on to the public footpath outside Scaitlcliffe House I reckon somebody will lose their job

Re: bins and recycling please read
I have just been speaking to Clare Pritchard about the situation, as Mick says if they do start collecting on Monday it will not be catching up on this week's missed collections.
They are still saying that only 4 black bags will be collected - which if you have not had your bins emptied for 6 weeks is ridiculous.

Thats not what they are saying in there e-mail
here is the full reply:
NO MENTION OF HOW MANY BAGS WILL BE COLLECTED
Dear Mick
Thank you for your enquiry.
Your next refuse collection, weather depending will be on the 22nd of January. The next recycling collection, again weather depending will be on the 15th of January.
We understand some resident in the Borough have been without a collection now for up to six weeks, therefore we are allowing residents to present any extra bags next to the wheelie bin on the next refuse collection day.
Of you have missed a recycling collection day and have extra items to present you can do so by placing them in carrier bags separate as you would with the normal blue box and bags. We will not collect items put out in black bags.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused, understandably the situation is out of our control.
If you require any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact our Customer Services Help Line on 01254 399 988.
I hope this information is of use to you.
Kind Regards
Sophie Bibby

You could always make a phone call to Willows Lane and clear up if it is only 4 bags or not. If it is you could tell him what you think about that.

Re: bins and recycling please read
I see we as a Council in this weeks Observer are stating that there as been "minimum disruption to council services this week".
I personally find that an amazing statement, when you consider that some people haven't had their bins emptied for Five weeks.

I hope as a Councillor of this Borough you will be telling the Council Officers in the relevant departments you are not happy with the service provided over the last few weeks and explain that some residents are also not happy.

That was a non answer, you should be a politician
Have you or have you not given your opinion or are you relying on other Councillors saying your residents are not happy?

Both the Local Council, and the County have been made aware of what I think about what's been happening, or probably more to the point what's not been happening over the last couple of weeks.

Bernard on a county level, are contingency plans for severe weather conditions in place now and have they been in the past? By that I mean if weather conditions suddenly strike, like now, do they have plans to get additional grit at short notice?
