Blackburn Road accident
Having just spent a blummen age stuck in traffic I would advise drivers to avoid Blackburn Rd in the area of the Acorn Health centre as the road is closed after an accident; still Police there measuring skid marks.....

Re: Blackburn Road accident
It is now clear. Traffic flowing as well as it can through the Church lights.

Re: Blackburn Road accident
your lucky you was only stuck in traffic, my daughter and myself saw the young lad hit by a car and saw his horrendous head injury, the driver was distraught, the 13 yr old ran out from behind a van and the driver had no chance of stopping, so excuse me for sounding a bit off but when you have just helped both the youngster by stemming the bleeding and then sat with the driver for 50 mins then i think being stuck in traffic was the better option.

I didn't say it wasn't, I was merely warning other people to avoid the area.

Re: Blackburn Road accident
No worries, it's great that you did what you could for the lad at the scene, let's hope he is ok.

Been there done that on more occasions than I can remember, must be dozens, rendering first aid, cutting them out of vehicles, assisting ambulance crews. Some of them when your patching them up, you think their not going to make it.
Then a couple of months later you see them in the market or walking about in the town center, and they don't have a clue who you are.
Lets just hope you never come across some one badly burnt, and have to keep the relatives away, some of the relatives were more difficult to deal with than the victims.
Retlaw.
