Re: body found at whinny hill tip

Whatever happened I hope the poor bloke can rest in peace & that his family get to know the truth, just because there are no obvious signs of an attack doesn't always mean there wasn't one - something the police don't always realise or want to be told

'no obvious signs of attack' are you having a laugh? Someone has obviously either dumped the body there or put him in a bin, i highly doubt the poor bloke walked up there just to die

Re: body found at whinny hill tip

Its strange that the initial examination of the body showed up nothing.
If someone is murdered I would expect they would have found the cause of death fairly easily.

I can assure you I wasn't being funny! Just repeating what an earlier poster had put about there maybe being an explanation for an absence of signs of an attack, & if you read it properly I said that even if there weren't any obvious signs it doesn't mean he wasn't attacked & that his family get to know the truth - something that doesn't always happen

well i did say there was a possibility he was a tip router and had an accident. If you go to the tip near closing time you can see people hiding in the trees waiting for it to close so they can go in and route through the skips.Im not saying he was a skip router but the possibility is there that he could have been in a skip routing in burnley and had an accident in the skip and got burried alive in it then the skip transported to whinney hill where he was discoverd when it was emptied.Whinney hill tip has cameras so he would be recorded if he had been routing there but some of the smaller sites dont have cameras.

All we can do is speculate until more in-depth tests are carried out

I didn't understand 'skip router' but the penny has now dropped - you mean a person who 'roots' in skips.

Yes.

I know someone who works at a tip and routers are as problem as they dig deep into the skips looking for anything they can sell.Every morning there is a mess to clean up where routers have thrown things out while digging in the skips.

Again im not saying this happened im just offering up an explanation how signs of an attack could not be there. With the bad weather and conditions in a skip ie: maggots, rotten food etc could make visual evidence hard to find.

Thats my contribution to C.S.I Accyweb

Yes you did, I understood that, what I didn't understand was,

Why wouldn't the Police want to be told?

I would have thought that if there are any known facts to do with this unfortunate incident the Police would be very happy if someone could come forward and tell them what happened.

Accyman has told us what happened..it was a "skip router" from Burnley.

Accyman has speculated that this could be a possibility.

He has stated in each post that it is a theory, it is a very plausible theory, but it IS only that.

So please in future pay attention and stop trying turn an unfortunate thread into something even less caring.

I agree with you that there is something a little sad in a thread about a body found at a tip being turned into a, 'Will my bin be collected today?' thread.

However I also find it sad that you could be so inaccurate as to post:-

Re: body found at whinny hill tip

Well if Accyman reckons it's a bloke from Burnley routing about in skips it's good enough for me..what more evidence do you need?

I wasn't referring to this particular case Less, but from a personal experience where the police drew their own conclusions & had a case cut & dried without exploring all possibilities despite being given information that I know they did not act on. I don't want to go into the details of that case on here as it is still too raw but I just hope that in the case of this poor man, the police do their job thoroughly & sensitively

You gave us no idea that you were talking about something completely different to the poor bloke mentioned in this thread.
Perhaps, you are now generalising because of personal reasons rather than common sense?
Just because you believe that in your experience,

In my original post, I did not say I was talking about the man who was found yesterday, just expressed my hope that his family would get to know the truth of whatever has happened to him as in my personal experience that is not always the case.
Ok, I did not use the words 'in my personal experience' so I suppose that was generalising the situation and maybe I should apologise for that, but when something like this happens it brings it all back.
All I know is that, before the experience I had, I would not have believed how many cock ups the police can, in some cases, make & after what I & others have gone through because of their mistakes, I would not wish that on anyone.
