The disability test for Attendance Allowance is far more difficult to pass - "For the disability test for lower rate attendance allowance you must satisfy one of the following conditions:
Most pensioners who have mobility problems aren't disabled enough to qualify.

Thank goodness you're back.
One of those 'charity starts at Abbey Street' bods must have hacked into your account, and used it to say how we should all pity those poor souls, to weak to say no to drugs, and how they aren't a scrounging drain on society.

Re: Bus passes
I have attempted meaningful contributions to this thread, but others are using it to continue a petty mudslinging match which began in other threads.
I despair that any thread will escape this disruption whilst the members concerned are allowed to continue such disruption.

Really?
Well who'd have thought that?
For some, if it ain't on a conspiracy theory website, it can't true.

There is a section of society who begrudges such concessions awarded to the less fortunate. Not only he (Groove) thinks this way - so it was a valid topic for discussion.

I pity your medical condition, but do not regard it as a reasonable excuse to ridicule and denigrate the opinions of others.

Re: Bus passes
Groove dislikes the disdain with which Maundy Grange is held...fair enough, a fair amount of undesirables frequent MG...but any charity that helps the homeless and societys unfortunates will undoubtedly attract such people...The salvation army in B'burn is probably the same...i do not frequent MG by the way.

Just as it's also valid to point out that some who decide to criticise the rights of others, are foolish to take the moral high ground, when it comes to who's entitled to what, when they've chosen not to contribute to the common pot.
Skin up, and reflect on this.

Everyone on here loves it.
It's the jewel in the town's crown.
A real draw.
It brings in tourists from all over the place.

I neither ask for, nor accept anyone's pity.
Especially your's.
Compared with some soft saps, I feel blessed not to be as handicapped in life as they are.
