they say this is a health and safety risk, i was coming home from accy the other week and the \'lancashire united\' driver had at least 120 people packed into his bus, it seems its ok to get money from paying passengers and risk the safety of others when money is involved but when a child who doesnt pay isnt allowed on the bus its another matter LANCASHIRE UNITED/TRANSDEV pull your finger out and stop making arses of yourselves
Shut up you moaning women. Who wants to be sat on a bus with a crying baby anyway. If the sponged cow got a job she would be able to buy a car and not use the bus.
pmsfl hmmm, i doubt it was actually Kathleen, but i have a damn good idea of who it actually was

Whoever that was hasn't got the right to speak on behalf of AccyWeb. It gives the impression that is the opinion of the forum owner.

Its a good job you dont think its really Kathleen (we already know she wouldn't say stuff like that anyway) cos that could have caused alot of hassle.

Re: Buses do a U-turn?
is that chav making a comeback?????????????????????
When I worked on the buses pushchairs had to be folded. If it was in my early days late 1970-early 1980's) they would then be stored under the stairs at the rear, where you boarded and exited) of the bus and in my later days they were placed into the luggage rack just behind the entrance doors but in them days there was NO wheelchair access.
But do have sympthay as the design of some baby carriages not that good for public transport

Re: Buses do a U-turn?
On some buses the space for wheelchairs and pushchairs has seats for 'the disabled'. I have a disabled bus pass so often sit there. A few times I have moved to the other seating to allow a mum to sit next to her child.
This is not a selfless action, since the child is less likely to scream throughout the journey with mum nearby, and in many respects a mum with a toddler is more 'disabled' than I am

Re: Buses do a U-turn?
In some buses the signs about seats for the disabled are slightly further back than the pram bay. There are so many different designs of buses these days.

Re: Buses do a U-turn?
If Lancashire United had any real business acumen, they would introduce dedicated buses on the major routes, which would cater purely for fat women with screaming brats, whinging OAPs, dodgy disabled cart drivers and, not least. spotty-faced juvenile delinquents having silly conversations on their mobile phones (when not vandalising the back seats). The journeys would take three times as long as usual - but hey, so what! These characters have no need to get anywhere on time. That would leave the rest of us - who pay for public transport - a faster and more efficient service, which would in turn attract more people from their cars.
