We don't check packed lunches in our school and as far as I am aware there are no plans to start doing it.

The children are not allowed chocolate or crisps at break time, they can either buy toast from school or bring in fruit from home but we don't have any rules on what they can have in a lunch box.

Re: Butty Police

If there were to be checks at my kids school and they took lunch boxes in, they would find a letter from me taped to the inside of the lunch box advising the checker that they were in no way permitted to touch, modify or deny my child the opportunity to eat the meals that I had prepared for them.

Damn nannies!

If you sent them in with a sandwich to finish off with a piece of fruit ... doesn't mean they will eat the fruit anyway ... probably dump it on the way home.
