Re: Call out charges

This is new to me, always thought repairs were carried out by the landlord. Apart from in private rented when you are lucky to get a clue to who your landlord is. We had quite a job the other year when my daughters boiler went down on a regular basis. Tried allsorts to get it sorted and ended up contacting Paul Barton(he was her councillor). Turned out the boiler was illegal and Paul managed to get a new one fitted in days. Doesn't bear thinking about what could have happened!!

Re: Call out charges

This all points to the need for Private Landlords to be more heavily regulated.

We got a form to fill in from the Council the other week asking our thoughts on the issue, questionnaire type thing. It was probably discussed in another thread, I don’t recall right now.

I say more regulation for Private Landlords is no bad thing.

Condensing boilers have a condensate drain pipe. Maybe that is where they connected into.
