Cynical sod that I am , I'm thinking the Labour party have a secret wish/desire to see the BNP gain some support , then when things go 'tits-up' they stand back all shocked and aghast and say "don't blame us ,not our fault, you voted us out of power"

I may be wide of the mark, and apologise in advance if this is so, but I think local mp's are whipping boys for the main gobs down south, many young mp's I believe go into politics in an attempt to make a difference, but seem to me to be beaten down to tow the line, and until ALL mp's are listened to equally, and their 'knowledge of the locals' allowed to influence judgement where it counts, then a lot of time is being wasted, especially by the voters. I think it is almost impossible now for any parties policies to be more than 50% of the ideal of any one person.

I dont doubt it Jaysay, it just seems a trifle silly that we seem to have waited years and years for just ONE mp to turn up with some guts, and we are still waiting! Even though he/she would make history, and would likely be the most admired politician ever, still we wait!
