Re: Carry On Regardless
The anti-smoking brigade stuck the knife in several months ago and now come the 1st July 2007 it will be twisted.
Not content with that many of the ‘holier-than-thou’ born again non-smokers are beginning to whinge about how they will have to walk through a smoke haze, created by the drinking smokers congregating outside having a smoke, to get into a pub. These ‘holier-than-thou’ sanctimonious born again non-smokers rejoice that no longer will they leave a pub smelling like an ashtray.
Of course they conveniently forget that they will have walked through and breathed in a far more lethal cocktail of poisonous vehicle exhaust fumes getting to the pub. They don’t seem to mind that their hair and clothes will now stink of vehicle exhaust fumes but then most if not all either drive a car or use some form of motorised transport so it’s OK to pollute the atmosphere for others.
Words like sanctimonious and hypocrite come to mind.
