I agree Ian out of order with the income statement The point I first tried to make was as a young man they could hardly give tripe, tongue, and other offal products away, and now they are treated like luxury items because the price of meat is high, offal was mainly a food of our generation, as during rationing unless you could pay exhorbitant prices and risk a prison sentence buying it on the Black Market you ate offal as you would eat any other cut of meat, and did not even think it was different.

Re: Celebrity tripe.
Well i'm presuming that tonights episode of The F Word is the one in Accrington, because its the last episode of the series and in the TV mag it says "Gordon is cooking tripe"

Well it showed Accy market eventually although Mr Ramsey seems to think that the town is called Accrington Stanley!

Re: Celebrity tripe.
Damn! I missed this thread until it was too late so I missed the programme. I would have liked to see a bit of Accy.
Gordon Ramsay calls himself a cook? If he knew his onions he'd have served that tripe raw with salt, vinegar and black pepper, there's no finer dish for the connoisseur. I could eat it 'til the cows come home.
(It's 'orrible when it's cooked, though. It looks like snot, smells like dung and tastes like Dunlop tyres).

I was confused by that also but his words were: "The town of Accrington Stanley" maybe he meant, the town that Accrington Stanley are from??

Re: Celebrity tripe.
Ah possibly, yes.
Those of you who didn't see it didn't miss much. It only showed the market and lots of empty stalls.
