change of rules
a disabled womans plea to carry on shopping at asda.
she was told she can go around to do her shopping in asdas motorised scooter but was told she was no longer able to take the scooter out of the store, the lady told asda that she could not walk so how was she going to get her shopping to her car.
she does not under stand how they can suddenly change the rules.

Re: change of rules
wasn't aware they had these vehicles seems relativley simple though when these folks want to return to the car, one of the "Happy To Great YOU" brigade, goes wi em, then returns wi the vehicle, job sorted, ah mean hell there aint thousands of these people fer god sakes, don't take a rocket scientist to figure a happy ending. but if thats beyond the IQ of asda management?

Re: change of rules
Now look what you have done Cashy. You made a perfectly sensible suggestion straight away and killed the thread off.
I suppose all we can do now is read the endless amounts of posts moaning about Asda that will follow.

sorry neil as fer how she got to the store from car, would suggest bit of a struggle, disabled returning to car wi a cartload of shopping - near impossible.

Maybe your right Cashy but you can't have a serious debate without looking at the broader picture.Up to now we know very little.could be the system was being abused.

yeh i thought that, thats why i made the original suggestion, Happy Harry prevents this abuse, also good practice fer him, may need one himself in near future.

Re: change of rules
Probably some stirring it, she's walked from the car to where they keep the skooters, she must have stood up to put the shopping on the conveyor, then put her shopping in the attached trolley, why can't she then put it in one of the smaller wheeled trolleys and push it to her car.
I find it a lot easier to walk pushing a shopping cart.

Re: change of rules
The weight of these things is unbelievable, I have lifted my mums in and out of the car and to be honest not everyone would be able to lift one. My dad had to make a ramp to get her bigger one in and out of the car because he struggled lifting it that much. These have always been security tagged and I think it often depends on the staff / greeter on at the time but am sure that if they were to request that they were "escorted" out to the car then they would do this, we have never had any problems in the past when we have asked for this for my mum
