What's the betting the driver was involved?

He might not be, but it is very possible.

You hear about this stuff all the time - you think 'how terrible' then it turns out that the 'victim' was actually the perpetrator

i got offered a few but none of that brand

There's a possibility that this could have been an IRA job. Not only was the driver from Northern Ireland, so was the lorry. They probably needed all these laptops to run excel and keep track of their 26m cash from January's bank heist. Smuggled fags and red diesel, licensing of drug dealing, terrorist consultancy and simple murder; it's all in their remit these days, so why not go up market and go hi-tech?

Sorry Vorlon you'll not get your I spy book detectives badge following that line, after all these lap-tops will no doubt have had xp pre-loaded & a Microsoft driver would have crashed long before getting to Wigan!
