Angry Chicken Theft - Case Colapses

I just read about the case of two workers who were prosecuted for an alleged theft. The more i read, the more bizarre it became.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/m...er/5414368.stm

Surely if the case colapsed, then "Morrisons" should have to foot the bill & not the public?

Re: Chicken Theft - Case Colapses

Morrisons better get the check book out and the CPS needs a reality check. In this day and age you would think common sense would rule yet not at the CPS. Are we as taxpayer's really paying for this stupidity. Morrisons could have stopped it when it all went ape in the begining.

Re: Chicken Theft - Case Colapses

they were probably just scarfing down some left over cooked chicken wings which had been sitting under the heat lamps for several hours, and saved some member of the public a case of food poisoning. I once asked the gal in my local store how long roast chicken parts were allowed to stay under the heat lamps , she told me 3 hours .........only problem I have , is I never see the container empty, they just keep putting newly cooked stuff on top
