There is a lot to be said about todays standard of living, everybody wants everything today, whether they can afford it or not, thats why we live in a plastic society, and there is so much debt. My mother always had a saying, which I'm sure she didn't realise it was coined by William Shakespeare "niether a borrower nor a lender be" that as always been my yardstick, because I hate owing anything to anybody

it wasnt possible to walk home with the amount of shopping we had and a pram - her partner had left her - she had no money and i went with her on the prtence of getting a couple of things for myself but was actually planning on getting a months shop for her
i dont drive i dont have a car i only get buses if i really need to and trains are a treat
so what if i get the ocasional taxi because i cant carry the shopping home - how many people get in their car to go to the corner shop ?
i have never said in any of my posts that " taxi's should have carseats in them" i just asked
"what on earth are mums who dont drive but need to shop supposed to do
is there no law that states that taxis should have seats to accomodate young children ?"
it was a question not a statement - but then i thought oo wouldnt it be nice for a mum with a young child to be able to get in a taxi and feel as safe as she should in this day and age?
how many people put their child into a car to drive round and get them to sleep ?
i take my nephew in the pram round the block (anybody living on the grange in ossy may have seen me or my mum and thought we were casing the joint after the tenth time round the block lol)
i dont really care for myself - i dont have my own children - my sister now has a car with a carseat - just wondered how other people felt that is all
bitter, selfish, narrowinded and arrogant are the words that come to mind
yet again people judge and refuse to see the bigger picture.
so before you make a statement - why not ask a question first?
maybe i should have started this thread with the question
are there any mums/dads out there whose life might be improved if there were taxis available with child car seats in them ?
