Christmas Day party on Accyweb
I know that most of us will have plans for Christmas Day - kids, cooking, presents, drinking etc... but I do plan to log on to here at some point to say Merry Christmas to everyone. I'm sure that others of you will have had the same thought, so with this in mind I wonder whether it might be a good idea to set a time when we can all try to log on to have a quick virtual party before we get back to our real lives - how does 11am - 11.30am sound to you?
First one to arrive starts the thread, all join in for a quick hello, raise a glass and discuss the worst presents and then back to basting the turkey!
What do you reckon?

Re: Christmas Day party on Accyweb
I would rather hit the pub for half an hour and do it for real. My day will start the night before preparing and cooking food that I personally will hardly touch on the day. I will have to make numerous phone calls or hold conversations with people I have successfully avoided the previous year and generally be nice to people.
I am not anti social are anything like that but I would rather forego the bull droppings and be myself 52 days of the year instead of 50. I don’t like crowds; I don’t like needless fuss and commercialisation. I like good fresh food, genuine friendly people who don’t make judgements, know how to have fun and aren’t too afraid to scratch their a*** when they need to.

Re: Christmas Day party on Accyweb
It's a nice idea Gayle.
I will be logging on sometime on Christmas day for my daily fix. Timing may be an issue though for some people though.
Perhaps you could just do a buffet rather than the traditional dinner, then people can just pop in whenever and help themselves to your nibbles.

Re: Christmas Day party on Accyweb
I will be traveling and it will only be 5 in the morning here, if I get chance I may log on later.
I have 10 days with one www and probably 10 days without the other www as they only have dial up.

I know we sometimes think you are on another planet mate but you obviously are from another solar system as well. Even Mercury takes 88 days for its 'year'!
What colour is the sky in your world then?

Re: Christmas Day party on Accyweb
It's a nice idea Gayle but unfortunately at that time on Christmas day we won't be here. We'll be at church in Blackburn.
May pop in later in the day though.
