Re: Clocks go forward

You may lose an hour in bed. Me, I'll get up an hour later, according to the clock.

Lovely long, light evenings again. Grrrrrreat!

Yes a timely reminder!Incidentally when was it the government of the day experimented with leaving the clocks unaltered?
I know we had double Summertime in the War,but I seem to remember a more recent trial;only for Scottish farmers to complain.

Re: Clocks go forward

It was either 1971 or 72, can't remember which. We lived in North Yorkshire at the time and although it was dark when the children went to school in the mornings, at least it was light when they came home.

Let Scotland have its own time if it wants. I think we should stay on British (all right English) Summer Time.
