Good it is about time the people selling to underage kids were brought to book.

Re: corner shop

It aint the 1st time this has happened at this shop

In the paper it's headline for it was laying the blame on the boozy teenagers

What a load of rubbish, nobody made the shop assistant sell to the teenagers

Re: corner shop

I read about this in the Telewag .... They say that the kids were intimidating the staff then nicking the booze and drinking it outside.

1) why were the police not called

2) why did they not have camera's installed to back this allegation up??

Re: corner shop

Asda have been very good on this front since they got caught in rawtenstall selling to under aged a while ago, but the shop on bold street i am told, have been doing this for ages, I viewed a house there, and a neighbour told me not to bother because the drunken teens were a nightmare at the bottom end.

1) They were called. The incident was in the papers.

2) They did inside. They wouldn't outside because they didn't want the Police to see how many yobs were using their premises and what they were up to.

Residents and myself worked hard to get it closed. The Police supported us and submitted the application for closure.

Good for you Graham.
If complaints from the public were so strong why was a survelance unit or CCTV from the outside not set up to identify the yobs?
Is this not a case for rounding up the ones involved by the police and reading them the riot act?
