council tax up.....

Council tax bills look set to rise by 4 per cent this year in and will cost the average household £1,145.
The Local Government Association said the increase, which is based on more than 100 draft budgets published by councils, was in line with the latest Retail Price Index.
The cost of caring for the elderly, landfill sites and supporting immigrants are rising dramatically.

The cheeky gits, why should we pay for supporting immigrants, i can only just support my own family!, fair enough for landfills and elderly ......etc

The council have just put that 'supporting immigrants' thing there to rile people up and make us blame rising taxes on 'outsiders' rather than the council's own daft money wasting schemes (needless flower pots etc ). That particular insertion could have been worded much more accurately. For instance, they fail to mention 'supporting English dole dossers'.

Sorry but seeing as you don't vote you can't really complain about what local and national Government is up to.

Maybe you should find a party that will end all this open border rubbish and vote for them

Re: council tax up.....

Interesting, because the government measures inflation by CPI (Consumer Price Index) rather than Retail Price Index. The CPI has only gone up 2%.

Ah but the council doesn't go off inflation Cyfr, it goes off the things that have gone up and ignores anything that may have gone down.
