I'll admit it I did in 1999 when Man United came back in injury time to beat Bayern Munich in the Champions League final.Tinks was gob smacked and couldnt believe it LOL

I just watched the Jerry Springer thing and found it very moving, especially the bit when he met a distant relative he had never known existed and the guy lives now in Israel. I know we read about and see TV programs about the Holocaust but when it's brought down to a personal level like that it is quite different.

Only ever cried once at the TV - when the result came through from Woking that meant we were back in the league after 44 years.

I used to cry very rarely at tv programmes but since I've had kids I'm so much more emotional, I didn't see the Jerry Springer thing but cried as if I'd lost a family member when Wellhard was put to sleep last week, cried when Nana died from Royle family, went to see Mamma Mia cried quite a lot through that during certain scene's anything remotely emotional sets me off these days.

I'm glad it's not just me. I've only really noticed it in the last year or so and I definitely think I'm getting worse.

A death on TV (no matter how tacky the programme) or a kiss or a wedding proposal and I'm mush.

Never done it .... probably because I don't watch all that much tv, or maybe the only crying I can think of are the tears of frustration as I flip thro god knows how many channels only to find there is nothing I want to watch

Yeah can truely understand that mate.Same as I said me was 1999 Euro cup.Was only a baby in nappies when they won it first time

Its surprising how our beautiful game gets to us some times

I tend not to cry at TV/films, but I am a hard faced ice maiden! I remember everyone crying at E.T in the cinema and thinking............IT's A DAMN ALIEN AND ITS NOT REAL. Cynical at 14............. there really was not hope for me!

although I used to cry at soaps lol now since the hysto its spread to adverts

Think I agree with you on this one. I remember watching "Das Boot" (not a bad flic) with a friend of mine. When it got to the end with the crew bleeding and dying all over the place, she started to sob. My response: it's a bloody movie; and if you want to show some emotion, you should be cheering. It's the bad guys who are doing all the dying; the good guys are in the planes, the R. A. F!

She rejected my critical analysis

I just think that crying is allowing the willing suspension of disbelief to go a tad too far. There's enough real pain and suffering in the world to cry over if one sees fit. Tears are too precious to waste on crap.
