Re: Cyclists or Caravanners
The worse driver I ever spotted was a 5 foot dark haired lady sat on 5 cushions to see over the steering wheel of a Pug 206

Re: Cyclists or Caravanners
[QUOTE=simon]Well I cycle and caravan ...........
Not at the same time I trust? lol.
Personally, it’s caravans for me. They make a much bigger dint than a bike…..Sitting at the foot of Willows Lane last week I witnessed a number of Taxis “driven by Asian gentlemen and other Asian drivers not wearing seat belts. Around six or seven of them, two were female one of which had a child in the vehicle. Is this a religious or cultural consideration I wonder? or is it a general lack of respect for the law.

Re: Cyclists or Caravanners
how about adding the police
flashing lights and sounding their siren just to get back to the sation to clock off
speeding just because the guy infront is and they feel the need to catch them up so that they can tell them that they were speeding
the inability to stop when they see people parked on double yellow lines at the traffic lights at the bottom of willows lane with the hazzard lights going while they get out the car to talk to their friends
using their radio while driving ,if we arnt in control of a vehicle when using a mobile phone how can they be in control with one hand on the radio

Re: Cyclists or Caravanners
The drivers who stop in the middle of the road to hold a conversation with each other when we are in a hurry to get somewhere REALLY annoy me. They do it a lot in Willows Lane.

Taxi drivers are exempt from wearing seat belts for safety reasons
When I was a taxi driver and had a dodgy character get in I used to leave the seatbelt off so I could make a swift exit if I needed to.
Apparently it has happened in the past that a passenger has used the drivers seatbelt against him and wrapped it round his neck...

Taxi drivers are only exempt (for the reason you quoted)whilst they are carrying a fare. The rest of the time they are just like the rest of us and supposed to wear the seat belt
