Cyclists or Caravanners
Who's the biggest pain in the backside on the roads, cyclists or caravanners? Maybe you have your own opinion e.g. Bus drivers, HGV drivers, taxi-drivers perhaps.

Re: Cyclists or Caravanners
Humps and cameras.
You spend so much time watching the speedo so it doesn't go over the limit, you don't notice the old dear who went over your bonnet.

Re: Cyclists or Caravanners
You don't like a hump, Garinda?
You surprise me!
I voted for caravanners, as I cycle. But I do agree that some cyclists shouldn't be allowed out of their padded cells most of the time

Re: Cyclists or Caravanners
Cyclists, definitely. Yes, I have fumed on an A-road in a long line of traffic before now, because the old soul in the trilby feels his caravan is safest at 20 mph. I've never had to watch out for one coming up behind me on the pavement, though, or coming at 30 mph through a red light when I have a green one to cross. I've never had a caravan try to get through on my blind spot when I have been indicated left since well before I stopped at the lights.
So cyclists, any day.

Re: Cyclists or Caravanners
I apply the same rules as when I am on my motorbike.
You get a very similar view from a cycle and a motorbike, and although the speed is different, you still have to be careful of what the other road users are up to.
If someone is indicating to turn left or right, you don't try and pass them on that side - it's quite simple!
You also look over your shoulder when turning right or changing direction, as you don't have the benefit of mirrors on a cycle.

Re: Cyclists or Caravanners
caravaners
i once got the pleasure of been behind some moron doing about 80 mph with one of those small caravans bouncing like a rubber ball from left to right across the motorway
we watched in anicipation but unfortunaly we had to turn off before we got to witness the inevitable flipping over of the car that was towing it

Re: Cyclists or Caravanners
We followed one up the M6 that was swaying from side to side. I was relieved when we were able to ovetake it.
