Re: Disabled parking warning
The parking in Arndale is now under the control of a private company.
Staff working there, or any body who needs to park for over three hours must pay £40 a month and park on the higher floors.
I am a volunteer at the Accrington and District Blind society in the Arndale and we got a letter from the parking people.
I usually do two hours on Mondays so I'm OK but every week or two I do a full Saturday shift so I find it easier to catch the bus and walk across from the new bus station.
I went to my car one day and a man was parked in a disabled parking bay wih his blue badge on display. He had a parking fine on his windscreenand he was arguing like mad with the warden saying he had only been half an hour. The warden pointed out the blue badge was four days out of date, cost £65. No compassion whatsoever.
