Re: Doctors appointments
That's an absolutely horrendous story Chrissie. He should have been severly dealt with for refusing to treat you and jumping to wild erroneous conclusions.

This doesn't surprise me in the slightest. He shouldn't even be a doctor.
My dad became very poorly. And he was showing classic signs of being a diabetic. Dr.Gupta kept dismissing this. In the end my mum took a urine sample of my dads into the surgery and demanding that she wouldn't leave until he had tested it. Cut along story short, my dad did in-fact had diabetes and was Insulin diabetic. He ended up nearly dying because that stupid doctor couldn't be bothered doing his job.

Re: Doctors appointments
I was too ill, tried to get a solicitor involved with it all from being chucked of Motapalis practice to Guptas comments but was told i needed a lot of money to go ahead as i wouldnt get legal aid.
The infections i had was so bad i ended up being rushed back into hospital. The paramedics that came that night was shocked.

Re: Doctors appointments
That's the problem. It's next to impossible to sue anyone in the medical profession because doctors don't like testfying against other doctors so how do you get a medcal opinion without plenty of money it's not easy. I was told that by a solicitor.

Re: Doctors appointments
Still having a nightmare with GP. even my school nurse has tried, now they say there is a referal letter but i have to pick it up then tell her i want my original consultant, come home ring with password choosing hossy & consultants{why when i want my consultant??** or i will have to send letter to my consultant - all this un necessary fannying around taking time whereas a straight forward email or letter would survice - end of but this new system is no good for people already under specialist consultants like me, this system is ok for new conditions but a pain in the butt for poeple like me which has wasted 6 mnths of my time already & counting!!!!! Yet the consultants secretary cant understand why they have pushed this new system on me for my case, my dad went to his gp recently for a referal no problems - not like this!!! So this means now i cant change GP's till the referred appointment comes thro Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Why fix something that aint broke????

Re: Doctors appointments
You should write to the General Medical Council and put your concerns on record……Once the surgery know that concerns are on record he might take a bit more notice of those in his care.

Re: Doctors appointments
Just a passing thought. Can I suggest that you make it obvious to each other to which GPs or Surgeries you are referring but perhaps not be so free at naming particular individuals? It may protect you from unpleasant confrontations in the event of needing one of these people at some point in the future. It would also strengthen any case you might bring if the individual couldn’t point out that they had been targeted on the local message board and therefore had been deprived of a fair hearing.

Awwww doug might have a point...................but ...............tough cos im deprived of a service they fail to keep! I need to vent off somewhere or i might demolish my house cos im sooooooooo fuming we are sharing experience of services & i needed to know it wasn't personal - plus if people dont complain nowt gets done or highlights the case - gp's are like owt else a service provider - they get paid for it!
Sorry to rant loudly im really touchy on this subject - another bad day of it

Absolutely agree, and therefore they are accountable and responsible for their actions or in actions.
Rant on (I know now't will stop you away) but don't make yourself ill over it.....
