Re: does it make you tick when.....

Shopping online is brilliant!! I always used Tesco.com when I was in England. The computer saved my list so it was easy to do. The chap used to bring it all into my kitchen for me, bless him!

They do, Shiny, but costs a fiver, or it used to, may have gone up since then!! If you order twice a month it isn't too much of a problem. I had awful trouble with weights the first time I did it and got the biggest tub of marg you have ever seen. 'im indoors was well amused.

Boo Honey, you are too nice.

It happened to me this week.

After a polite excuse me, and you know they have heard by them looking at you- just to make sure they aren't deaf, a barge past with your elbows out, nice and pointed, usually works for me.

I usually follow this with a loud sigh, and an audible mutter under my breath, of ignorant rude f**kin' b*tch/b*stard.

2 deliveries, 2 different blokes, both very nice lads and couldn't be more helpful, carrying the shopping in. I also use tesco.com, asda is my preference but they haven't started home delivery in this area yet!!! Delivery varies from £3.99 to £5.99 depending on when you want it delivered but just think of the hassle your saving and monetary wise I'm not being seduced by things I don't really want as I just order the things I need

Re: does it make you tick when.....

You don't have to drive, find a parking space, put up with other folk's kids............ I hate shopping and I used to get so stressed over it. I tried hiding my trolley half way through and sneaked out for a much needed ciggie!! You've guessed it, I had to start all over again! Oh, I so miss, Tesco.com!!

Re: does it make you tick when.....

yeah just break it down... theres the parking as you mentioned, theres the assault course as boo mentioned then you are piling everything in your trolley just to take it all out to pile on to the till when you have queued for one that is, then you have to pack it all (I know you can get help but prefer to do it myself so I know whats with what in the bags), pile it all back in the trolley, load it into the car. Get in the car ... by this time my back is agony . Drive home, unload the car, then carry it all in and unpack it all.

Tesco.com.......click on the different depts and order what you want, decide when you want it delivering, delivery guy or gal delivers right into the kitchen if asked nicely and then you unpack it..... best fiver I can spend anyway

Re: does it make you tick when.....

I'm getting well homesick now!! We have lived in Spain for four years. The big supermarkets do home delivery but it's not an easy road to go down. First off you have to know what you want in Spanish, I know some of it but not all. Then.............no, I've decided not to go there!! I'm a sick sad puppy and miss Corrie too!
