Re: Does it really matter who we(you) elect???

It's less than a week to election day and I have yet to receive any policy literature from whosoever puts themselves forward as a candidate for election. If past local elections are anything to go by, then neither of the two main parties warrant the support of any potential voter, and any poor soul who dares to stand as an independent - if elected - will only be browbeaten into submission and sidelined by the status-quo. I look forward to spoiling yet another worthless document come election day.

Of course it matters who gets elected, we wouldn't want a change of politics and actually elect people who listen

We have visits from the tory and labour candidates but no sign of the lib dem , not even any paperwork or flyers. Apart from that who wants a hyndburn councillor living in Nelson.

whoever gets voted in looks after NUMBER ONE, themselves come first, there are too many MP's. They only do as they are told from the top of their given party. 99% of MP's and councillors are capitalists, i don't think there are many socialists left. Dave Nellis was the last one in my opinion.

edit:

sorry i misread director as dictator lol -- oppps
That's why they're hammering the police service into the ground. Pretty soon there'll be no bobbies left to lock anyone up.

Re: Does it really matter who we(you) elect???

Living in Peel we have no Tory candidate ( I wonder why....) I will happily put my cross next to Wendy Dwyer, lives just round the corner, has done for years and knows our area and problems, our only other choice apparently doesn't even live in the constituency so not only could I not be bothered googling him I have no intention of voting for him. I really think that this situation of importing potential candidates should be outlawed! Just because your grandma lived here in the 1920s doesn't mean you are "local".

She knocked on my door. She seemed nice enough. How are you Lindsay? (if you remember me, I came in our price-- I was the guy ordering red house painters/dakota suite/and American music club albums. I used to come in and gave that guy(andrew perhaps his name) bootleg concerts of mark kozelek

my conculsion:
electing a new director of a corporation....which is why nothing changes

and if "a politition can go to prison and still influence politics" i dread to think what he/she can influence on the outside of prison

I think Accychris there is a new rule (possibly) that should be added to all forums and that is "DO NOT QUOTE YOURSELF"
