PS it is only a matter of time before this country will have rabies in the dog population.
The scaremongers said that when the Chunnel opened.

We are still waiting for the first case.

Angry Re: dog licence

Rather than wasting time, money and energy on dog licenses the powers that be should be concentrating on greyhounds and what happens to them when they have finished racing.

The greater majority get put down once their racing life is over at about five years old. Greyhounds live for about 15 years or so.

I accept that some will become domestic pets and I understand that they make very good pets but you never hear about the thousands that don’t get that chance. That side of the industry is kept a secret.

Quite true jambutty, a lot of them are put down about 2 years old because the are 'to slow', and also through injury that is likely to affect their speed. It is a disgrace and to my shame as a young man I was involved in greyhound racing as a trainer.

Re: dog licence

if there was a dog licence it should be run by the rspca and all profits going to the rspca.ive never been to certain areas where theres so many neglected dogs ,fighting dogs ,and just damn dangerous dogs roaming about its only a matter of time when theres a kid mauled .hopefully the latest crackdowns have decreased these dogs..i think all the dog charitys should be involved in the registration of dog licences so the authorities could weed all the illegal breeders of dangerous dogs.......
