Please read the article below regarding a phone scam operating in Lancashire…….
Phone scam with £15 bill A SCAM which could land you with a £15 charge on your phonebill is operating in Kirkham. A company called the Parcel Delivery Service is dropping leaflets through letter boxes saying that they have a parcel awaiting delivery. The leaflet then says to contact them on 0906 6611911. Lancashire police have issued a warning. The mail scam originated from Belize. If you call the number you will hear a recorded message and be billed £15. If you receive a card with these details inform Trading Standards on 01772 533508. 10 August 2006

I think we had notification of this scam through our letter box courtesy of our local bobby....wasn't that nice of him?
