Ducks
I'm sure many members will have seen the Mallard ducks that park themselves outside ASDA; there were five the last time I saw them. I thought this was just an Accrington phenomena - until this morning. There we were, having just joined the slowest moving queue of traffic in history at Junction 31 of the M6. Since it was evident that we were going nowhere fast I took the opportunity to have a look around, as you do. You may imagine my surprise when I spotted a female Mallard sat on the six feet of tarmac which made up the central reservation. It sat there completely unconcerned by the massive lorries crawling past not two feet away from it. Definately one of those "damn, I wish I had my camera" moments.
Has anyone else any stories of ducks in unusual places?

Re: Ducks
We have regular visits from ducks at Queens Park Hospital. They come over from the reservoir and doss about on the grass outside the back of the dining room. Funnily enough, they tend to put in an appearance at lunchtime and teatime and are definitely the fattest ducks I've ever seen. Although the kitchen staff are instructed not to feed the ducks, it doesn't stop other people feeding them....

Re: Ducks
They do come across from time to time but these are shadowless ducks -- as no doubt you observant folk will have spotted.
