E U Budget

BBC News - EU leaders set for crucial budget summit

E U ministers are meeting in a two day summit to thrash out a budget for the next seven years, seven years, how the hell do these people know what things will be like in 2020, I might be missing something here, but to me its yet another nail in Europe as far as I'm concerned, think I'll write to my MP and ask if he's still in favour of backing this out of control Juggernaut, heading for a very steep hill without breaks

Re: E U Budget

They'll probably just think of a number, double it & add a bit for contingencies.

They might start with the new prime number that's just been discovered - "2 to the power of 57,885,161 minus 1 – it is 17,425,170 numerals long and if you spent 12 hours a day writing it out at the rate of one digit a second it would take 403 days to complete."

They'll do it by hind sight, then either pat themselves on the back, or else blame it on seven years of misrule, which of course, they had nothing to do with.

Now, now, I'm sure thirteen is copyrighted, wouldn't like to see you in court for your first flippant remark on site!

Re: E U Budget

What - no mention of our beloved leader's great triumph? Surely now the worst excesses of the EU are banished forever?

Well, I think it is still more smoke and mirrors...they trumpet that the budget has been cut, but that we will still pay in something in the region of 50 million pounds a day.....what do you think we could do with that money if it were not going to this bureaucracy bloated corrupt organisation?
Our payment to this cesspit will go up....not down!
Is it value for money? I don't think so.

Re: E U Budget

We're still the second highest net contributors to the EU budget
