Re: Ebay Vote

Members of HBC wouldn't mind buying a vote or two - but they can't afford it!

Re: Ebay Vote

If the vote was in one of the marginals I think it could then be worth a fortune all the main parties would try to buy it!

Re: Ebay Vote

The guy who put it up reckons what he did was probably illegal but he was willing to risk going to jail to get his point across about how he felt about the system, MPs in general and party politics in particular

Re: Ebay Vote

Someone had put their vote in the next election up for sale. As selling your vote isn't legal I presume that's why ebay removed it but the seller had gone on to explain in great detail why they felt the need to protest in this way because in their opinion none of the candidates are worth voting for and none of the political parties are trustworthy/reliable. A failure to vote is regarded as apathy. This person didn't want to be seen as apathetic and strssed that if there was a space for voting "none of the above" they would turn out on election day and put a cross in that box.

It was worded a lot better than I can put it from memory. They also urged other people to put their votes up for sale if they fel the same way.

Re: Ebay Vote

Did you see this one lol

Here's yet another - 'can't believe that someone will ever bid for that, whoops they have,' type item. Available now on eBay, is 'The Ugly Stick'. That's right an ugly stick. Although free of supernatural powers, the seller reckons that whoever carries the ugly stick becomes more... ugly. To us it looks like a normal stick, but apparently not - the seller even mentions that people comment on how ugly this stick is. Incredibly, some saddo has actually bid $19.95 for it, but if you think you could use this item (what FOR?), you've got until April 10th to snap it up.
(Ugly stick)
Bid until Apr-10-05 19:39:54 PDT

Re: Ebay Vote

Glastonbury mud usually sells quite well. Sometimes I think I could make a fortune on there.
