Re: Emmision freevehicle
Interesting if you want to die and get wet while you die. It's to low to the ground so will be hard to see. I used to work with a bloke who had a kit car no higher than that. He said the biggest problem was that other road users didn't see him because he was so low.
What time will I have to leave Ossy to get to Liverpool for 6pm for work tonight?

Drivers eye height same as Ford Escort, Not for long distance, for city ctr work. Faster than a van through London. Already working well in Ghent(motor vehicles banned in city ctr due to pollution) Your right of course about long distance stuff, But it's not designed for that.
If you'r worried about the rain, don't worry, you won't melt.

Re: Emmision freevehicle
Looking at the cars and registration plates it looks like it was a long time ago when the film was made.
I have never seen a Brox on the road so I wonder did they ever sell any.
The Sinclair C5 was a failure and was a similar concept.
Have a ride in a pedal powered rickshaw in Edinburgh to get the feel of what it's like to be sat under a lorry exhaust at traffic lights being slowly poisoned or having a mud shower when a vehicle passes you in the rain.
Not for me I'm sorry.

Re: Emmision freevehicle
I do apologize if I gave anyone the impression that I was promoting sales of the Brox to forum users. I posted the video as a topic of interest. I myself am no longer active within the company who manufactures or promotes the use of this vehcle.
Some of you appear to be under the misconception that The Brox is a replacement for motorized transport (Ossy to Liverpool), this is not and never has been the case.
In fact, the most prevalent use is in places where motor vehicles are banned.
Some years ago, the whole operation was moved to Holland and Belgium, where many Taxi and courier companies operate very successfully, with this type of transport.
So, the comparisons which some of the forum users are making are totally out of context. Its 'horses for courses" gentlemen.
Hope this clears up any misunderstandings, So, don't worry, you'r free to carry on using your gas guzzling smoke belching modes of transport for the time being until we go all electric that is.

Re: Emmision freevehicle
No apologies needed, in my case it never occurred to me that you were trying to promote the vehicle or were once involved with the company.
It was an interesting video clip and I learned something about a product I had never heard of.
Thank you for allowing me to continue using my gas guzzling ( I managed 24.7 MPG since new 18 months ago) but it is not belching smoke out. I can go out in all weathers even snow and ice and still keep warm and dry.
Until the rest of the world and Accrington taxis and buses are stopped polluting the atmosphere I have no conscience whatsoever about driving a gas guzzler.

Here's what I like under the hood ... and I have the fuzzy dice to go along with it. They used to be white, but are now stained a delicate nicotine brown. I love being out of step
Don't drink; don't smoke; eat your veggies, get lotsa excersise; die anyway. The manner in which Jim Fixx bought the farm should be a lesson for us all.

Nice big lump Eric, pity about the fluffy dice.
There is no substitute for a cube. OK.

It's a four wheeled bike!
And look at its power unit- very low horse power, unreliable, always breaking down and expensive to repair.Burns loads of oxygen, proteins, alcohol and other fuel.
Emmision free? Carbon dioxide out of the top exhaust, fouls smelling gases and large particles out of the lower one.
Requires a heated garage(preferably 3 beds, central heating, mod cons) as it breaks down if you put antifreeze in it.
Must cost a fortune to run. Give me Gremlins gas guzzler or Erics' Cadillac any day!

Yeh but they'v come on a bit since that video, The new super cab model styled by Lamborghini, has a v8 32valve turbocharged diesel with the latest econofuel side injected interspercial spray recovery system. Its so efficient, on a long run, say from Ossy to Liverpool, it actually starts to pump fuel back into the tank via the supercooled bypass. This system is completely "EMMISION FREE"The only drawback with this system is that you have to stop about every 50 miles or so to drain fuel from the tank to stop it from overflowing. It has the new military spec"Maxi-shield" which prevents road side cameras or speed check cameras from detecting the vehicle, so no more problems with the law, and you can go as fast as you like (165mph) with no legal hiccups, now thats what I call a vehicle..
