Maybe they may drop the price if they can't be sold

Re: Exciting New Development

I recently made enquiries about these apartments and it is clear that they haven't sold many. I was offered a choice between 9 available (at one estate agent)
They were all on the 1st floor and was told that more are expected to be available for rent on higher floors in time. There are no ground floor flats.

The floor plans are here
http://www.watersideaccrington.co.uk...floorplans.pdf

I was tempted by flat #1 which has a terrace and faces SE (the pointed end) but have been put off by-
no smoking - no gas - no central heating (not even night storage heaters)- and of course no pets (which I expected and agree with)

Now how can this development be considered 'luxury' when the heating is so primitive? (electric wall mounted panels)

Rents are nearly £500 a month + extra £30 or £40 for car parking.

It looks destined to be a 'white elephant', and on driving past today the white paint on part of the outside was beginning to look a bit shabby.

Have been involved in several developments just the same, they have all been Barnfield Construction sites, all have wall mounted on peak electric panel radiators. Cheaper and quicker to install from the developers point of view, but costly for the occupier.
At £500 per month you could buy your own property.

I agree with you margaret it will become a "white elephant" as will the development on willow street in accrington, the old nightclub building.
Wrong time, wrong place.
