famous hyndburn people

I know there is a famous accy people thread what about a famous hyndburn thread. I start it from referee David Richardson from great harwood who I am watching on big match revisited on itv 4 player Liverpool v man Utd fa cup �� semi final.

David Richardson is an Accringtonian. He lived in Ave Pde as a lad with his brothers. However,I hope that your thread gets lots of postings. I wrote about David in a book which I edited and published - Accrington Acclaimed. For those unaware - he was a top class football ref and gave a lifetime of service to football at grass roots level. He probably still does.

I thought somebody would have known him it was n mean feat to referee in those days for hardly any money he had a good game lol it was surprising to hear great hardwood being mentioned

Last I knew of him, he was living up Cliffe Lane in Great Harwood, just past the junction of Lowerfold Road on the left-hand side - Lived next door to my auntie for a while in the 80's.

Really nice bloke.
