Yes the little babies name was Peter: I don't understand why the grandparents or biological father did not give the little boy a proper funeral and headstone: I am sure they could have got the money from somewhere:

Another reason they are not naming the low life is because there are three other children to consider:

was shocked to hear some STUPID social worker was fighting for the right for this excuse of a woman to keep her baby, the one she was pregnant with whilst murdering her little son:

Words really fail me on this case... and there are others not unlike this one: the law needs to change : look at all the flipping hype Jonathan Ross and the other bloke got... they very nearly lost their jobs... but doctors and social workers and the rest of the ( IDIOT CHILD PROTECTION TEAM ) some how managed to keep theirs:

I don't think the people who killed the baby should be given a new identity but I think it's unfair to Maxine Carr to liken them to her. They are not the same at all.

These people abused and killed a little baby.

Maxine Carr didn't abuse or kill anyone and there would have been no need to give her a new identity if people weren't making death threats to her.

No she didn't kill anybody Lilly, but she aided and abetted Huntly, which in my eyes is just as bad, and perverted the course of justice which added more pain to the parents of those two little girls.

Just another point on baby P. it seems his sick mother(and I don't mean ill) has said in jail she can't understand what all the fuse is about, as her son was just accident prone, just about says it all to me, the self centred heartless murdering bitch

Just been reading this morning more about this scum, it appears, according to top criminal lawyers that the mother could be back on the streets by next summer, apparently she was not the one guilty of killing the child and would receive a sentence of around 4 years only, and with time served she would be out by summer. However the ratbag that did kill the child can only be sentenced to a maximum of 14 years, which means he could be out in 7, give me strength, and they call that justice.

The other thing that annoys me is that this woman can the go on and have more kids. We often her about people being taken to court for cruelty to animals (like the guy in Accy only last week) and are band from ever keeping animals again, yet this woman will be quite free to breed again, unbelievable

I'm glad he did have a funeral. He deserves to rest with some dignity. In the article it says that the family were told not to say anything because of the court case, and The Sun provided the granite gravestone. Theres some pictures in the paper today of the area where his ashes are scattered and its beautiful. Its full of flowers, toys and teddies mainly from complete strangers.

I know it will never bring him back but at least some small shred of justice has been done:

If Sharon Shoesmith had a shred of decency she would have resigned weeks ago, but no she toughed it out and had to be sacked, lets hope its a long time before she gets another job anywhere near children

She's not been sacked - she's been suspended on full pay. How much do you want to bet that she'll either be reinstated or she'll land another well-paid job elsewhere in the public sector?

I was fuming this morning when I saw that Wynonie, yesterday they said she'd been sacked and so she should have been. Although it now seems that before they can give her the boot they have to study employment law, they have also said there will be no financial settlement and that she will not be working in any other job within the council, but I'm no holding my breath

She might not be working for that council, perhaps she won't get a job with another council, but she'll get some sort of job with one of the many quangos or other bureaucratic nonenties that the government love to waste our taxes on...can't see her going down the job centre anytime soon!
