Fire

Hey guys, just driving past Sports Centre through Church traffic lights etc, and there appears to be a big fire on the Blackburn Road area, from what I could see, or maybe just behind Blackburn Road (Opposite Orange Area). Fire Crews & Paramedics rushing to the scene..

Couldnt get any more updates sorry, hope its nothing serious.

There was a bit of a fire there this morning - burning rubbish by the look of it.

It wasnt actually the demolition area, it was opposite, behind the shops of Blackburn Road. It looked quite big, big black fumes pumping into the sky could be seen from Hyndburn Sports Centre / Kfc.

Re: Fire

Ooohh.. Must have been.. lol. Im sure if there was a 'controlled' fire in the demolition area, fire crews & paramedics wouldnt have been rushing to the scene.. persides they turned down a side street off Blackburn Road, which gave me the suggestion the fire was behind Blackburn Rd..

Oh well..

Re: Fire

Oh the fire I saw was not controlled by any means. Its a Sunday there were no workers on the site, a bunch of kids had been piling up a load of wood, well three piles of wood and two of them had been set alight.

Re: Fire

The fire we saw on the way to church this morning in that area was only small and there didn't sem to be any when we were coming back early afternoon. I do hope no-one has been hurt.

There have been severeal fire appliances on the go round here. There always seem to be casualties on bonfire night. Maybe it's time that little private bonfires were stopped. I know some may call me a spoilsport but fire is very dangerous and children don't always understand how dangerous. I don't think I ever did when I look back at things we got up to.

Re: Fire

I was at Haslingden cricket club tonight. My son was allowed to get in the fire engine and talk to the driver.

My son asked him if he had been at the Tremellen street fire the fireman said no he had been lucky BUT there was another house fire on Tremellen street tonight as he had heard it on the engine radio. I hope those in it got out.

Re: Fire

So do I. That must have been awful for the neighbours after what happened previously.
