Fire Fighters Attacked With Fireworks!!!

I was astounded and dismayed to read that firefighters called out to a rubbish fire were attacked by youths throwing fireworks. How stupid are these kids? Do they not realise how dangerous fireworks are? They obviously have no respect for other peoples lifes as they could have ended up killing somebody with their stupid and irresponsible behaviour. It is to be hoped that if they are caught the punishment will be harsh!!!

i went to a bonfire last night and thr was teenage lads jumping over fireworks how stupid are they.

I think they should be taken to see the results of fire, to see people killed by fire.

It seems to be a fairly common event. Some firemen and ambulance crews have to deal with this on a nightly basis. Kids make hoax calls, Emergency services attend, kids ambush emergency services, emergency services retreat under a hail of stones.

ahh the fun of throwing bangers into old dears gardens and launching mini rockets from home made hand held launchers at people front windows. I had a miss spent youth even in the little village I lived in (before rindyroo says anything)

It's terrible but, sad to say, it doesn't surprise me.

Like Jae said, you hear similar stories every year. There's usually an animal related horror story too although I must admit I haven't read about one of those yet this year.

the emergency services are an amazing service that is there for us all, these kids may need these services one day, its a shame they dont think of that before they lob the obstacles,

I think its disgusting, and I havent heard of fire fighters having to put up with that kind of abuse every year, but I've seen many stories about cats having fireworks tied to their tails and the likes, and many burnt hands and faces of stupid children thinking it wise to let fireworks off in their hands.

What makes children think its a good idea to even touch a firework, thats what I wonder?! Do they instinctively reach out and touch the hot stove as well when their mums are cooking their dinner? Because thats just as equally stupid.

A slap on the wrist is the order of the day for these kids (they are all misunderstood or come from a poor background or have been abused) shame everyone can't get away with those excuses.....but it's getting that way
