Flouride In Fizzy Drinks.

Just read this sggestion in the lancashire telegraph letter page, make fizzy soft drinks makers putflouride in the teeth, decaying drinks, instead of taking it out as they do. We that have no need, or desire this poison in our system can be spared the lousy taste.

Come on Em no child should be drinking nothing but fizzy drinks in fact the amount they do drink should be kept to a bare minimum. There are so many additives in these drinks they have a detrimental effect on childrens behaviour in many instances.

It may be no added sugar but what about the rest of the additives? Does it have artificial sweetener? If it has aspartame that's worse than sugar.

We don't need yet more additives in our food ad drinks.

Cool Re: Flouride In Fizzy Drinks.

ON NO ACCOUNT WHATSOEVER should we allow the addition of medication into our drinking water or to bottled drinks. Because that’s what fluoride is – a medication. What will be next? A tranquilliser because the populace has finally twigged that the government is continually selling us down the river and start to revolt.

I don’t care if it is for the good of children’s teeth. It is the parent’s responsibility what their kids eat and drink and to clean their teeth twice a day. If the state wants to interfere – again – in our daily lives then make fluoride toothpaste free as part of the Child Benefit or whatever it is called these days.

Re: Flouride In Fizzy Drinks.

if it was given with child benefit then it would have to be vouchers and, just like milk tokens, these can be sold...... milk tokens came in strips of four that could be sold for £1.50 each, making £6 which will buy a packet of cigarettes or cans of lager...

So that is enough reason to put fluoride in the water/drinks just because a few parents sell their tokens?

I’m pretty sure that the greater majority of parents would prefer to receive a token for a fluoride toothpaste of their choice rather than being force fed with fluoride.

There are hundreds of thousands of people in this country who have a full set of false teeth. What good will fluoride do them? I hasten to add that I am not one of them.
