You will not regret it.

If you look back to my post #25 you will be aware that some of us have bad reactions to vaccines, and the latest research into Gulf War Syndrome has revealed why.
Each individual has to weigh their risk exposure against the likely adverse reaction.
The vaccination is not ideal for everybody.

Re: Flu Jab
The flu jab is effective against a handful of flu virus strains and can't protect against the common cold virus. It can't protect against a flu virus that hasn't been "predicted" either.
I've been having the flu jab for a few years now and I get colds - every time my granddaughter picks one up at school and passes it on.

Sorry Margaret, passed your comments #25 on and received reply, not that I am criticizing your advice for passing onto people, for being careful like..
"Sigh...again.... stay with the knitting in 'People's Friend'
Careful research is necessary for people like me to do before I give a vaccine, as I am responsible for that, and the person I administer it to.
This means I KNOW exactly where to get my (word deleted) research and that doesn't mean 'The Ailment column in the Sun'
Try this:

Could be useful. x

Your link is to a publishing company-
Ingenta, a division of Publishing Technology plc
my link is from a report by
PHILIP F. INCAO, M.D.
1624 Gilpin Street
Denver, CO 80218-1633
who has been involved in vaccine research
He advises that he has found that the immune system has two parts and that after many vaccinations (which only have an effect on one part) the two become inbalanced and malfunction causing an adverse reaction to vaccines
In recent years science has learned that the human immune system is much more complicated than we thought. It is composed of two functional branches or compartments which may work together in a mutually cooperative way or in a mutually antagonistic way depending on the health of the individual.
Ps I don't read Peoples Friend - you need to read less Playboy

Re: Flu Jab
well went docs yesterday n asked about the jab, told not eligible but to go to chemist n i could buy one, have been to every chemist in accy including asda n told sorry we don't do em, or sorry you "NEED" a prescription! returned to the wonderful pals centre to be told sorry we dont give prescriptions had forgotten to call in boots though so went n asked "Linds" who told me Burnley Boots do em, but not sure if its appointments etc, rang burnley who told me NO but ring Preston, rang em, they said yes we have em, BUT you need a prescription, or a private prescription just seen me doc on the Pals carpark n give him hell, no one seems to know what the hell there doing its pathetic, doc said he will try n sort out fer me after lunch n ring me, will not hold me breath. so my advice fer anyone who like me,is daft enough to want to PAY fer the damn thing DONT. the stress n hassle is worse than the flu.

Re: Flu Jab
I have read that this years version of flu vaccine is giving people a cough.
Also read that younger people are getting this years version of the flu more than they usually do, and more than the over 45s
